Flexible-organizational-structure -of-universities/ Currently, the independent university units are faculties and general university units (centres, main library, sports bay, etc.). You can also create joint units with other entities. There are also discipline councils and field of study councils. It seems to me that the organizational structure of the university is a bit rigid. Is there room for flexibility?

I totally agree with statement about rigid structure. The question is about a cause of this rigidity. Nowadays the way of funding distributions forcing the authority like Deans, Institute Directors or Departments’ Heads to be reposible for their budged and istead of cooperating they compete.
